Midst of June Holidays
I was the 2nd to post on the 'sticky blog'! Rebecca's got to hurry... Watched 'Cheaper by the Dozen', and I loved it so HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! :) Got my report card today. The front cover was really nice with all the flowery chinese calligraphy. Mdm Yick told my father that I was really quiet in class when I was sitting by the window. I'm really confused. Don't teachers usually want their students to be quiet? I thought they do! My results were quite ok so nothing to comment. Hope Xiang Chuin and Sue En are having a good time back in KL... I finally got the acupuncture point I was looking for. Finally my hand did not hurt anymore, which proves the Chinese were right about 'qi'.Watched 'Sepet' yesterday. It's a Malay film but has a mixture of languages and dialogues. It was about love of course. I think most films today are about love stories. It gets old after a bit. The recording was finally finished in Scriptodub and I managed to bring the page count to 7. Returned Xiao You's waterbottle when she left it in the Lab. Bryan got better today and I guess the world is well. Although I really don't feel happy. I wonder how the chalet will be and I'm just dreading the end of the June Holidays. Isn't everybody?

HOLIDAYS!!
During extended flag raising today, Miss Chi told us to not to sell funfair coupons so we could spend all that on ourselves. However, the BOM and BEL people came up and told us to SELL the funfair coupons so we could repaint the school and upgrade the library. I love the library so much that I have decided to double my efforts in this so we can have a bigger library! :) It's a kind of motivation! Afterwards, the sec 3s from modern dance came up to perform a dance that I've seen the sec 1s and 2s perform multiple times in the dance studio every lunch! I know as Xiang Chuin, Rebecca and I have BEEN going there every lunch to watch them! EEEE.. so nice! :DXiao You , Meng Jie and I finalized the script and the dubbing today! Yay, even though the recording was a little off the mark. And in the end had to reprint the script because SO many changes were made! And it turned out to be... 7 pages! 1 more page than the last draft! :) I would definitely recommend Scriptodub as a Sabbactical! Every sec1 Nanyang Girl, go for Scriptodub!!!!! The excerpt was from The Wonder Years. I've NEVER heard of it. Ms Foo did well, she chose something which no one has EVER heard of!
In Malay Appreciation, we watched a movie - Sepet, about this Chinese guy who likes this Malay girl. It's quite nice, only it is left hanging at the end. Turns out the sequel's in cinemas NOW. Although the teachers who've been to watch it say that it isn't as fantastic as the original. Kind of like 'Gone With the Wind'. It was the best love story of that time, but the sequel failed to convey the powerful emotions felt in the first instalment, which tells us one thing, end your movie quickly! The sequel will not be as siccessful! Although for X-men I loved the 1st and 2nd instalments. I have yet to watch the final one, although Ong Sor Fern only rated it 3 stars in the papers. Hmmmmmmmmmm...
When Mum came to pick me up, I told her the movie title was 'The Wonder Years', and she was like, "Oh, that. Ask your father, he watched it more than I did back then." I mean, yesterday both MY FATHER and HER was clueless as to what was the show that I was talking about. And I described it in full detail, mind you. Sigh....................................................................
Right now I'm eating a packet of prawn crackers! :D Yay!!!! The holidays are finally HERE! :))))))))

Dubbing A Weird Animation
Just pulled Stress Ball's hair in the Computer Lab after she walked over to me! I can't believe I almost forgot to squish it! In Scriptodub we had to dub 3 Misses. My group had to dub the part of 'Rescue Sleeping Beauty'. I don't think it WAS Sleeping Beauty! I thought it was SNOW WHITE! Does Sleeping Beauty have 7 dwarves at her command?? I DON'T THINK SO. I can't wait for the end to 'Autograph Book'. We had to write our own ending. I wrote that Su Min 'difigured' Tessa's autograph book and so it was a VERY VERY VERY SAD ENDING! Happy endings aren't very interesting you know. In Malay Education, we learnt about Malay Food and got to eat kueh! I ate 3 because Cik'gu Samadi promised the few of us who had tried to answer an extra piece. Oh, it was actually 3 1/2 pieces as he cut up more pieces for the whole class to eat this time. The teacher for Movers and Shakers didn't come for 30 minutes! Movers and Shakers are basically the Malays who made Singapore famous for different aspects. eg Fandi Ahmad, he made the Singapore National Team more famous. Anita Sarawan made Singapore's music industry more famous etc.................... Afterwards, we had to write down as many Malay terms as we could think of. (in pairs) I paired with Rebecca and Xiang Chuin paired with Sueen. Not fair! They could easily come up with more terms! They had been TAUGHT Malay! Anyway, Rebecca and I copied Malay terms off our notes! XD And we got above forty! Yay! :)
In Malay games, we played the Congkak. Blank was the teacher. Guess what? I thought Mel was going to flame up! The head and the face I mean. I don't know what feeling that is. Starry-eyed or red-misted??? Anyway, Rebecca beat me in the first game by some marbles, but the next 2 games I completely trashed her! Sorry Rebecca!!!!!!! Today, Xiang Chuin, Rebecca, Sue En and I were considerably 'sticky'! I have a conclusin: Simple stickies are better than complicated ones!

Bits of 'Knowledge'
Some of Science was spent in the Com Lab as Mr Ng 's laptop was not able to open some of the power point slides and the the last resort was the Lab... Mellie was blogging while Fiona, Sue En, Chin Wen, Mabel were presenting! BAD Mellie!!!! Haha. In history we did mind maps and covered government and a little of society. Ms Koh told us about dead poets' society! That movie was great! Mellie is in rehab over that certain nouvell, mauvais anonymous enseignante! Hope she forgets that enseignante! Mr Ng told us after science(we stayed as it was recess and he didn't realize! :P) that blogs were dangerous?, and besides he couldn't type very well and he believed diaries were personal. I should say FEELINGS are personal, but whatever happened during a day's course is ok to be shared with the world, right??Anyway, mr ng told us that someone likened him to William Hung on their blog! So mean! *tut tut*LOL! :) We're having dumpling making next period so we're missing lang arts. And chinese period we are going to watch 'Big Fish'! OMG! So cool! I've never heard of 'Big Fish' so it is exciting to wait for the turnout! I shall bring the dumplings home and be reminded of Qu Yuan when I eat them... Sigh... sweet, delicious, scrumptious, droolable DUMPLINGS! I love them ALL! I especially LOVE the glutinous rice in them! EEEE! YAY! :DDDD
Let's talk about what we learnt in history. Vetican City is the smallest city in the WORLD! And it is ruled by priests! Guess who? Pope Benedict the Sixteenth. And who was before that? Pope John Paul II. He's really respectable, Pope John Paul II, like when he forgave the people that tried to assassinate him, so kindred! Singapore is a parliamentary government and Lee Hsien Loong is our finance minister and Ng Eng Hen is in charge of MOM. Cute acronymn! Lalalalala...

More Interesting Than Usual
I'm finally well to go back to school tomorrow, although due to the fact that the laryngitis might come back, I've been excused from all strenuous activities for the week, including volleyball and NAPFA. It's doctor's orders, not that I don't want to go. I guess being sick was good for 2 things: postponing the badly, real screwed-up gym routine to next week and postponing the chemistry act out to Thursday as no one prepared the script yet. I've just about finished last night and I've been up trying to rush my french homework today. Having a big headache as I think of all the work!Sigh... can't wait for Sabbaticals to arrive! Arrideverci! I shall holler(in my mind) when that next week comes! The waiting is killing me!!! Scriptodub sounds like so much fun although I foresee some reflections. Then, after that... WHOOSH! The holidays are here! I have been unable(to my frustration) to renew my book through the Internet. There has been problems. I don't think I'll have to do the community service as I was ill, and no one can help being ill. I most likely caught it in the cramped space of Ngee Ann City. Thankfully I've not developed a phobia! :)
Bryan went for his first ever NAPFA today! Haha... I wish him good luck! :D
Now I shall write about Chheyang coming our school like Chin Wen suggested. Very memorable! Ahem... that day, Fiona came into class and broke the news: Cheeyang was in NYGH. Chin Wen went nuts and ballistic, words shooting out of her mouth, high-pitched and very shrill:" OH MY GOD! WHERE? WHERE IS HE? AHHHHHHH!! The mood suddenly became excited. We(the whole class) rushed out of the doors and looked over the banisters. We could just see a few HCJC people on the 2nd storey. Everyone started to talk at once. "Oh my god!" "Is that Cheeyang?" so on and so forth. And then, basically, there was a frantic rush for autographs by over-zealous Nanyang girls. Pei-yu told me the story of her angel. "She ran, hair flying, to get his autograph. Then she realized that she did not bring bring paper. Then she rushed back to class, got paper and rushed back out, hair still flying and breathlessly asked for an autograph." Oh, the zest of it all! Then, flag raising and Cheeyang comes and speaks to us, promoting some straits times pocket money fund. Everyone was
Now I'm going to stress over math results I have no idea about. I wouldn't be surprised if I got a F9. That would spell 'DOOM', of course! >.<>
With that over, let's now talk about last Geog lesson. Mr Lim walked in late, carrying a plastic box. What could it be? It was a giant ant he called Xiaoqiang. Most of the girls freaked out. The classroom was filled with screams. I though Mdm Mak would have to run up and inquire what was going on! Whenever he brought it too close, the class would scream! So NOISY and DEAFENING! When the cover fell over, the class screamed. When something fell off Meng Jie's table, people thought the box had fallen and Xiaoqiang would crawl out and so the screaming started again... etcetc. When Xiaoqiang reached our table, Rebecca whipped out a CAMERA, Jacqueline whipped out her HIGH-TECH HANDPHONE, and started taking pictures like crazy. I also joined in. Rebecca was dismayed that the pictures were not clear, but after she used flash, the result was better. Everyone crowded around, vieing for photos! I guess the fear of giant ants was over! The history: Mr Lim caught the ant in the stretch of land between NJC and NYGH.
On to Sports Day! It was hot so Jacque and I went to buy ice cream from Chen Tian. My chendol wasn't nice so sad! T.T Che Tian! I want my refund!!!! Just kidding. Afterwards had volleyball training. The HCI guys came over for a friendly. We beat their sec 2s(Shiawase!) but their sec 3s beat our sec 3s(disappointment) The sec 3s(our side) wanted to stay back and continue training(such motivation!) and so the HCI people stayed behind too. Cheryl left her 'blob' and waterbottle behind. Stephanie took the 'blob' while I took the waterbottle. I shall return it to her tomorrow.
Let's cover Vesak Day. We celebrated my grandmother's birthday on that day even though it wasn't on that day as they wanted to celebrate verything together. (the grown ups I mean. The kids wanted separate celebrations) We went to this very posh club to have dinner. It had 6 floors or so! At first, memebership cost $28000! OMG! and that was just a DISCOUNT! The real price: &48000... Now: $10000. Yeesh. Guess why they gave my auntie a $300 voucher and we spent it all on this night. Fiona and I talked about her school and about her being an IC. A tough job indeed.... I managed to get Melissa and Fiona interested in the Romanovs! Yay! Elated! Haha.... Woah! I'm so long-winded! Ciao!

Sick Days
Guess what? I'm SICK. And what is this illness? FEVER. just going to post this and I'm going to turn in. My head is really heavy and I don't think I can make it to school tomorrow. :( Preparing to fail gym routine anyway...What happened today: Went to Taka. Which is to go to KINOKUNIYA. Wonder where the shop got its name! So foreign and yet so classy! :) Anyway, I got a new book! Actually, TWO new books - a 2 in 1. (Groosham Grange and Return to Groosham Grange) Highly recommended!!
When we were almost home, an accident almost happened. It was raining cats and dogs, which meant the road was very SLIPPERY and WET. This bus cuts right across our car, and we would have COLLIDED had my father not stopped the car in its tracks! It was a bus 804. So inconsiderate! It did not signal or give any INDICATION that it was changing lanes. It just swerved wildly and I almost thought that it would skid and crash into the curb! Thankfully, it didn't. Spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping.

For the Sake of Updating
Ok... I figured I'd better start updating. I've just finished watching Secret Bible Week on National Geographic. I'm surprised that they used some scenes from Battleground: The Art of War - Alexander the Great. The scenes when the Macedonian phalanx(clutching their 8 feet long sarisas) were charging towards the Persian 'Immortals', Darius's elite guards. Christianity turns out to be SO complictaed. I'm not a christian, so I have no idea. I do wonder that when the end of the world is near, will all the Christians really be 'raptured'? That is, that they were be spirited to heaven, while the other religions are left to suffer the Apocalypse?I don't think that would be fair. The underlying meaning of this is: People should all be Christians if they want to live. I mean, can't people have their own beliefs and cultures OUTSIDE christianity? It's pretty narrow if EVERYTHING is revolving around Christianity, right? Anyway, chinese calligraphy has gotten better!
Chen Lao Shi's son is really into vehicles! I'll bet he has everything except a hearse!
