once upon a december
People have been bugging me about my dead blog. And so, I shall hence revive the somewhat dead blog, even though I will be lazy to post pictures. For now anyway :DDI think I might die of Doing-Too-Much-Homework disease soon. I have written my morning and afternoon away doing loads and loads of homework, and filing tons and tons of files which I do not see the point in. I have to:
1. Do bao zhang. Maybe because of the influence of a certain Michelle Poh Jia Yi I am handing this in late. BOOHOO
2. Chem ws 10 and 11. Which I have no idea how to do. SOMEONE, ANYONE HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL :DD
3. Study for IH open book test. Well, since its open-book I shan't have to study the content. Meanwhile, it is the structure that really needs memorising and practising.
4. Math ws 8.1 finally something which I have managed to complete. Maybe I am not so doomed after all.
5. Math ws 8.2, math journal and math RAFT. This shall be my undoing
6. LA poem analysis. After I have been undone, I shall proceed to be unravelled bit by bit.
YES. AND NOW YOU SEE THAT IT IS IMMINENT THAT I DIE OF DOING-TOO-MUCH-HOMEWORK DISEASE. THANK YOU.
On to perhaps, happier things, like FLAG DAY yesterday.
Met jieying on the yishun train platform first before going for breakfast with the people who could make it early. Practised a lot of jap with jieying and meichun. Have had evidence of the pro-ness of jieying's jap. As for meichun, je suis tres professional(minus the accents)!
It was a seriously wet, rainy and dreary day. How PERFECT for doing flag day! As you can see, the money collection started on a very bad note ):
I paired with Laura, who has done flag day TWICE before! Walked aimlessly round and round, meeting the same people over and over again - mich, jieying, yvonne, xuean, lihong, alicia and xu binbin. Then mich and jieying TOTALLY DISAPPEARED and it was only at night that I found out where they had gone. TUT TUT.
Was chased out of places TWICE. We MUST be doing something right. Had some interesting encounters, the good, bad, ugly.
1. All security guards and policemen are very interested in donating to charity. Even the ones that chased Laura and I out. I asked the guy who chased us out of the place wth many ATMs to donate and he DID :DD
2. All HCI guys are very stingy. They were a few of them who I asked to donate, and 10/10 of them rejected me. GREAAAT. Look what I will have to endure for a few years of my pitiful life.
3. Some people really went out of their way to avoid me. When I was standing at one side of the road, they would walk all the way over to the other side. I can take a hint people. But one man really took the cake. He saw one, I looked at him, and he about-faced and walked back down the street he just walked down. What a convoluted man and sentence!
4. Good-looking guys ALWAYS donate. For some reason or other ;DD
5. Don't ever ask guys with umbrellas stuck on their heads for donations. I asked this guy, and the umbrella was seriously stuck on his head. He walked and walked and the umbrella didn't fall off. AMAZING. So I asked and he said, "OH YES!" with capitals and all and I was so happy to have found an enthu donor when his hands swooped down upon my tin can and made as if to carry it off. Then he went on his way WITHOUT DONATING. Furthermore, his friend started laughing at me and turned a few times to continue laughing at me. And here I thought my laughing was bad enough -.-
6. Laura has bad experiences with small ang moh boys. Apparently one ang moh guy with his kid was stopped by her. The father took out a 20 cent coin and asked his son, "Would you like to donate?" And the son said "NO!" and pocketed the coin. When he took out another coin and was about to drop it into the tin, his son slapped his hand and said again, "NO!" SIGH AND I THOUGHT WE WERE STINGY ENOUGH.
7. Smokers are nice. Most of the time they will donate :DD
8. Laura likes to ask people to donate when they are actually collecting money! She asked SNGS, RI, Catholic high people, all of whom were also flag day-ing to donate. Most of them didn't, but a few did, and we swapped exchanges. WEIRD
And well, my experiences aren't that mind-boggling, when you compare it to Phyllis's. Hers are SERIOUSLY, EXTREMELY STRANGE. Ancient coin, anybody? Maybe she attracts weird people :DD
Anyway after flag day, went with alicia, libin, kayyun and jieying to cineleisure to watch definitely, maybe. It was decent but there was really NO CLIMAX. It was very enjoyable to watch with friends! Alicia thought jieying was extremely noisy, and jieying kept laughing at alicia smiling at the screen. Also, someone threw something at the screen. Im serious.
After that, kayyun and i walked around for a while and bought alicia a present. SHHH WILL HAVE TO GIVE HER SOON!
AHAHAHAHA I AM SO HAPPY AND HIGH NOW!
