randomness in motion

Shall proceed to record the hyper fun activities which occurred yesterday!!

Met Mich at vivo around 540pm. Having never been to vivo via train before, I was a bit swacku. I ended up walking in the wrong direction to get out of the mrt and some guy directed me to the correct way. And to top it off, he did it out of INITIATIVE. So nice right?

Went shopping for adalyn's present (which were chocolate hearts as well as nail polish!) while michelle got all excited over sweet treats in cocoa trees and candy empire. She was going "ah i want this!", "omg" etcetc. No trace of the usually calm michelle poh o.o

Then, while trying to find Diva, we ended up in the body shop where i was the guinea pig for michelle to try on nail polish -.- She ended up getting one colour in addition to adalyn's two. Later, we bought food from bk and proceeded up to the rooftop on level 4, where we sat on wet seats (we had to dry our butts later). Mich then went on to paint her nails with the nail polish she has just bought but regretted it later, deeming it too 'slutty'. And still, she was ADAMANT not to waste nail polish and even though I made fantastic suggestions to go to back to the body shop to remove the nail polish, she insisted on keeping it on. SIGH MICHELLE.

The really interesting part came when we were going to set off for adalyn's bbq party. We walked around and around (we even saw the jetty going to sentosa can!) looking for the busstop, eventually ended up at the WRONG busstop, taking the WRONG bus and ending up at the bus interchange. Through more directions, we finally came to the Caribbean condo where i saw mabel lim, who gave us foggy instructions on how to get to the bbq, and we walked and walked (i had developed a very painful blister by then) and...

Became lost once more! STREET TOOTS UNITE!

Anyway, we walked onto this bridge over this river, and there was even a BOAT there. So we freaked out and called adalyn again. And lalalalalalala anyway we finally reached her bbq, albeit after 45 minutes -.-

THE BBQ WAS FANTASTIC.

1. MEICHUN'S CRUSH TURNED OUT TO BE MY PRI SCH CLASSMATE OMGGGGG
2. The food was nice, albeit a bit burnt thanks to the mighty lupcheong :D who was so hot until she burnt the food!
3. Phyllis liked my paul frank shirt!
4. Mich's operation was revealed somewhat :D
5. ADALYN'S CAKE!

Weeell, this is THE only picture I took :P Her birtday cake looked all chocolatey on the outside, but it contained yummy bananas on the inside! Omg now i think banana+chocolate is the best mix eveeeer!

On to more random things.















I cooked this egg! It's the right shade of yellow and so perfectly rounded... thankyouthankyou!

Was in Island Creamery. They had this remix of both SUPERMAN (ITS NOT EASY) and i think if i remember correctly IM YOURS. Hahah it was so funny because at odd intervals, the lyrics became mixed up like the example above xD

Anyway the MPP team stayed soooo long (from 1145 - 530) that we heard the same songs replaying and replaying over and over and over and over again. Then Lihong said:

I think it's not their fault. We are probably the only ones who stay so long and therefore WE KNOW THAT THE SONGS ARE CONSTANTLY REPEATED.

Afterwards we sat on a kiddie boat thingy while waiting for Lihong's laptop to charge. Hahaha it was so fun! But also quite retarded :p

Then, supermarket! How come I always end up in a supermarket?? Let's go to Gourmet Thierney says Lihong. And Lihong, mich and I do not go to a gourmet restaurant but a supermarket. And I'm wondering HOW COME we are in a supermarket.

Later, I say: Where is the gourmet restaurant we wanted to go to?

Mich: It was the supermarket la you STREET TOOT!

Done my intensive reading! Can probably start piecing together relevant info tmr. Just toooo pooped today from the PT and MPP.

Well, at least I have tmr set aside for doing MPP stuff. Michelle, Lihong and Dileen still have SYMPOSIUM of all things on wedthurfri. If THAT and MPP are not killer, I don't know what is. Ok that isn't very killer. But it is deadening to the body and soul. STILL, jiayou you guys! I SHALL BE WITH Y'ALL IN SPIRIT :D

Jieying's leaving on Thursday. Hmmm will her juniors get a room opp the ACSI (IB) ppl? :p RMB THE KOREAN GUY!!

UPDATE ON EMAIL SCAMS.

Now its another boliao email... FROM FED EX "WE LIVE TO DELIVER".

I have a Confirmed Package that is registered with them for shipping to my residential location. It is BANK DRAFT (WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!) worth US$800,000 and is registered for mailing by a colleague of mine, from the US but is currently in Nigeria (WTH!) for a 3 month Surveying Project as he works with a consultant film in West Africa ie Nigeria. FEDEX are sending this email as the package has been registered on a Special Order.

I SIGH. BREATHE. AND SIGH AGAIN.

1. I have a colleague?!!!
2. He is from the US? (do i even KNOW anyone from there? Maybe its George Bush!)
3. Working in NIGERIA?!!?!?

Even though the $800,000 is VERY appealing (though not as appealing as my 1 million euros), I do not think I will give the number included in the email a call.

I shall proceed to VANQUISH MY BUDDING EYEBAGS.

run out of smart sassy and intelligent titles

My family of four has been surviving on 3 spoons and 2 forks, believing that there were no more to be found in the house. But lo and behold, when my mum was cleaning out the kitchen cabinets, she found 10 of both items

Super hyped day today, with the climb up BK hill and fantastical weiqi. Omg i think i like it despite myself :)) But a $70+ weiqi board?!! That's pushing it.

Got through training today. NOT happy. But still made it. PT tomorrow to dread. Ugh.

I know people have been asking me to blog.

My sabbats are just soooo fun, EVEN WEIQI. It seriously is a fun game, especially when you play with Xuean, who always gives the game her all :D Even my dad has caught weiqi fever, he asked me to buy a weiqi set can?

Yesterday, Charis was ill. She caught syphilis from Alicia :OO (ooh alicia WHAT DOD YOU DO YOU NAUGHTY GIRL!)

Our class boards are FINALLY getting decorated. With fab design ideas from our very own POKEMONITRESS! Will post pics when it is finally up!

Watched a video on the treatment of the Hmong tribe in N. Thailand. They helped the US in the Vietnam War as they were promised US citizenship. But did they get it in the end? NOOOO, and now because of the participation, they are being LITERALLY HUNTED by the government of BOTH Laos and Vietnam. Other than that, the men are getting killed, the women and girls are ALL getting raped, and there was even this YOUNG BOY who had his intestines CUT OUT (they were overflowing out of his stomach!) and he was STILL ALIVE. THAT IS JUST INHUMANE.

What a cruel world we all inhabit.

Watched 'Sicko' after school for an IH assignment -.- I predict Jieying will have ALOT to say after she watches it. She will definitely reinforce her idea that "Singaporu wa ozoku desu." It is about how American healthcare system is SERIOUSLY FLAWED. If one does not have healthcare insurance, the hospital bills for ANYTHING can run up to thousands or millions of dollars. So it figures that one must have healthcare insurance right? BUT it will only be granted to certain people, and if you are too tall, too heavy, BMI idex too high... and many other conditions and reasons that run up to tens of pages that could probably go one round around a house, many Americans are stranded without healthcare. While the Al-Qaeda detainees on Guantaromo Bay and other countries such as France, Britain and even Cuba have free UNIVERSAL healthcare. The reason: They are a DEMOCRACY.
